Advantage Network and Advantage Preferred by Advantage Health

Advantage Health Solutions is a locally owned company serving several counties in Indiana.  They offer group insurance as well as Medicare insurance.  They offer four Medicare Advantage Plans that are HMO network based that cover both Medical and prescription drugs, and one PPO plan that does not cover prescription drugs.  The four plans are Advantage network (Community Health), Advantage Network (St Frances Health), Advantage Network (Wishard Health), and Wishard Complete Care Basic.  These plans are available in Indiana to residence of the following counties:  Hamilton, Hancock, Johnson, Marion, and Morgan.  The PPO with no drug coverage is called Advantage Preferred, and is offered in the same counties as the other PPOs.  Let’s look at each one in more detail in order to see which one makes the most sense for you!

Advantage Network Community Health

  • Monthly Plan Premium – $19
  • Primary doctor $10 co-pay and $25 specialist co-pay
  • Hospital co-pay $100 per day days 1-5
  • Outpatient surgery – $100
  • Diagnostic tests, x-rays, and labs – $0 co-pay
  • Dental, Hearing, and vision benefits included
  • Tier I and Tier II drugs have a $0 co-pay

Advantage Network St Francis Health

  • Monthly Plan Premium – $19
  • Primary doctor $10 co-pay and $25 specialist co-pay
  • Hospital co-pay $100 per day days 1-5
  • Outpatient surgery – $100
  • Diagnostic tests, x-rays, and labs – $0 co-pay
  • Dental, Hearing, and vision benefits included
  • Tier I and Tier II drugs have a $0 co-pay

Advantage Network Wishard Health

  • Monthly Plan Premium – $19
  • Primary doctor $10 co-pay and $25 specialist co-pay
  • Hospital co-pay $100 per day days 1-5
  • Outpatient surgery – $100
  • Diagnostic tests, x-rays, and labs – $0 co-pay
  • Dental, Hearing, and vision benefits included
  • Tier I and Tier II drugs have a $0 co-pay

Wishard Complete Care Basic

  • DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS PLAN!  IT HAS THE SAME BENEFITS AS MEDICARE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME EXTRAS LIKE DENTAL AND VISION.  YOU DO NOT WANT THIS PLAN

Advantage Preferred PPO

  • Monthly Plan Premium – $0
  • Primary doctor $10 co-pay and $30 specialist co-pay
  • Hospital co-pay $125 per day days 1-5
  • Outpatient surgery – $150
  • Diagnostic tests, x-rays, and labs – $0 co-pay
  • Dental, Hearing, and vision benefits included
  • Be very careful with this plan.  Do not sign up for this coverage unless you have drug benefits through the VA or some other organization that you can keep with an MA plan
