Medicare Supplement Plan L or Medigap Plan L
There are three Medicare supplements that look good at first because of the price, but should clearly be avoided when you dig into the coverage. These are the Medicare supplement plans K, plan L, and plan M. Not only do they leave off some of the coverage that is found in Medicare supplement plan F, but they also reduce some of the coverage that they do include. None of these plans include coverage for the Part B deductible or the Part B Excess charges. Where these plans differ from most of the other Medicare supplements is that they only pay a percentage of Part A Deductible and the Skilled Nursing Facilities. Medigap plan L covers 75% while K only covers 50%. These plans are not very popular with most seniors.
